MM Bongo Lovers in the House?

After playing 5 and 6 string basses lately I am waxing nostalgic for a 4 string bass. I am a Roscoe, Modulus and Lull guy but may leave the comfort zone and consider a 4 string Musicman Bongo. What do you people think who own or have owned a Bongo?

I kind of dig the funky shape. Pros, cons, carrots?

I've never personally played one, but I've heard they play well, and the funkiness of them is absolutely astonishing.

I've played a lot of basses that are known to be versatile, but I've never found more usable tones than what's available in these EBMM 4-band preamps. I dig the funky shape too. If someone wants to say they look like a toilet seat, fine with me, 'cause Bongos are the ****.

I have only played one briefly and it sounded quite good. I also like the *ahem* "polarizing" looks of it.

Still don't own one though.
