Above all play both wihtout looking at price or looking at them in general, play blindfolded and switch them on and off so you can really only tell by sound and feel |

However, I am going to have to say the MTD. I don't know much about the Grendel, but I know that if it has MTD on it, you can't beat the sound and the quality.

From rock to funk to country to r&b to jazz to solo to rap to whatever else...the stingray has touched it! It is also American made which is more than I can say for the MTD. I've owned Zon, Modulus, Fender, Yamaha, Peavey, G&L, Kubicki...and I would have to say the Musicman Stingray 5 has been my fav.!  |
