Music Man Stingray Classic Neck question
so i've got a several music man stingray classic basses and its time to downsize (unfortunately). Really just don't have the room anymore and just going to keep one. I prefer the basses with maple necks rather than rosewood. However, the bass i want to keep has the wrong neck.
Is there any reason why i can't/shouldn't switch the necks out on these basses. They are the same models, same year. I don't see a serial number on the neck (like fenders).
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Check with the folks at ernie ball forum. Not likely to be a problem.

Shouldn't be a problem, but I would expect that a quality shop like EBMM fine-tunes the neck heel to its partner body. String them both up and play them for a while to make sure for instance the neck angle still feels good before finalizing the commitment.

I just swapped necks on 2 Sterling 5's. No issues at all.
