yeah I like it better also.
The BA guards are so BIG on that small body...the black one with the black on the burst is overwhelming on the bass....IMO.

I agree about the pick guards being kind of overwhelming. I'm thinking about getting some kind of custom guard made for the DDII I just bought. The plain black just looks so blah on that awesome finish. Has anyone seen any good color combo options?

I wonder how a black pearloid pg would look on a BA DDII??
Might look cool with the changing colors....Should look good with the caramel or green. IMO anyways :P

Used my Big Al the other night for this video Full Sail made. They got several local bands to do songs from the new Beck songbook. I love this bass.

i have 3 pickguards (white pearl, tort, black) for my black Big Al 4 S/S/S ... at the moment i prefer the white.

That looks great. I've been thinking of changing mine. The contrasting pickguard on black looks so good.

Got a Gloss Red Tortoise Pickguard on order that should show up after the Holidays......Get rid of that large black thing and add a touch of class (with new pics)!
