Lucky for me I have a '79 Sabre; so I'm good.

Lucky for me I have a '79 Sabre; so I'm good. | I had an Ernie Ball Sabre, circa 1989. It had just one switch, a large 5-position toggle for the pickups: - Bridge only
- Bridge plus neck
- Neck only
- Bridge plus neck in single coil mode
- Neck only in single coil mode
It also had four knobs: master volume plus three band EQ. |

| | | | Fender adding red and blue this year gets several pages of attention and this gets almost nothing?

| | | | I'm not a MM player, but what's the main difference between a Sabre and an HH?
Also, that control plate on the Sabre above looks very L2K (the link isn't lost on me).
Does it make L2K noises? |

While I do also own P's (just because), they are my least played basses, only come out once in a blue moon. |

| | | | It's available in the Classic series colors one of which is Retroburst which I believe was a color that Sterling came up with and had a Sabre in that color. I think his Sabre had the larger Stingray pup in the bridge position. IIRC
