It's shallow of me, I know, but I just love the way the earlier Sabres look.

I love basses with two monstrous humbuckers, and I prefer a 2-band pre-amp, so this is right up my alley!
...don't really need the muted bridge, though...

Like, you can get two of them for the price of one of these new ones, affordable. They look nice but the covered pickups were never as nice looking as the exposed poles version and they are priced too high for my blood.
