CardinalFan #2. Beautiful bass BTW.

It's for the Sterling Bass. Introduced in 1993. Not the new Sterling line of guitars.

I'm in, too.

Sterling4 is #3

That is exactly like mine. So much so I feel like I need to drive home to make sure it hasn't been stolden BTW - just curious. Ever use that neck pickup by itself? I've lowered mine down so its out of the way for pop & slap but I'm thinking about raising it up again and just getting used to working around it.

Kinda spooky, eh! I did a double take myself. I wonder how close our sn# are?

Mostly fingerstyle, I do use the neck pickup solo, in fact the single coil neck pickup is one of the reasons I went for it. I find it has a bright woody tone with the treble up, bass down and thumpy quasi P-bass tone wth the bass up, treble down. Try slap/pop on the neck alone with settings you'd normally use for slap. Might be interesting. It's also a great thumb rest. I'm using a warmed over transistor radio for an amp right now as my real amp hasn't been delivered yet. We'll try some more whenever that happens.

Best Regards,
Sterling4

I have 2 Sterling 5's. One is a 2008 Limited Edition HH, and the other is a single H config finished in Rolls Burgundy. I need to take a photo of the LE.

Man, the H/S Sterlings are well represented here.
2005 LE Buttercream H/S with matching headstock. Not many of these around.

Plays and sounds great. Really nice neck. I'm a big fan of the single coil PU soloed.

I hope to join your ranks someday. I prefer the Sterling to a Stingray.....

I can't join as I no longer own this bass. But it was pretty rad, so here's a pic.
