Thanks man, it was love at first sight, and I couldn't leave the store without her. The clerk knew it too... he wouldn't even throw in a $35 strap (the one you see in the pic) with a $1700+ sale, the b*stard. That clerk lost any further business from me for the whole store.

Oh well, water under the bridge. I've got my stunning 'Ray, and I don't regret it for a second!

LOL indeed....
I hated letting go of every Stingray I sold...They are such awesome basses.
Just let go of that killer sparkle silver one...only single H4 I had left too...ughhhhh.

But visually the 2008 LE Sequoia is hands down my all time favorite in the beauty dept...
I THINK I like playing the 2009 BFR rosewood neck Ray just a tiny bit more possibly...kinda? sorta?

The white one you have is not common at all and a true lifetime keeper...know I will not be seeing that baby on the block anytime soon...hahahah!!

Awesome Stingrays in this thread, as usual.
Is there such thing as a 3-band Classic?

I agree, I sold my dragonburst Q5 not long ago. I never really played it because it didn't fit the sound of my current gigs so it just sat in the case. As much as I do miss it, it just means I have room for another bass down the road, right? LOL (and I may or may not already have the next one... errr, two... wait........ three planned... lol)

I tried to get the info for how many they made in the LE run that included mine, but no dice... they either didn't keep track (which I highly doubt) or they don't share that info, which I believe much more.

Oh well. She'll always be one of a kind to me.

I THINK, I recall reading here that a few were made, but not many...Could be wrong?

Don't know why they don't share. Sharing numbers like that could raise buzz, collectibility, etc. Dare I say, maybe to Fender collectibility?

They want to sell new basses, not make used ones more attractive!

I'm sure Fender still sells plenty of axes... 30% of the basses I own are (bought new) Fenders. Not that that really means anything. I just wanted to present a useless statistic. Lol

Maybe someday my 2009 MIA Precision V will be worth $4-5k? LOL

I'm sure someone will appreciate this matching set. '78 Stingray & '79 Sabre. Both are near mint condition.

Love the Sabre - one of the few vintage basses on my GAS list...

That bass looks pretty clean to me. I spotted this Roscoe Resurrection thread the other day and from now on, I won't think "abused" until it reaches that level. Whew. Poor bass.

#437 for rhopper

Count me in! Bought this 2 years ago and was just playing it 10 minutes ago. I'm usually a P guy, but this thing kills.
