Well, actually, NBD was yesterday, but I literally got off work, ran to the store, bought the bass(it was pretty much unplayable when they took it off the wall, so I had them do a quick neck adjustment so I could at least play it.), ran home, kissed my wife & son, and headed to the gig I have on Thursday nights. So, here it is...
Pros:
LOVE the way this one sounds and feels! Even though I've had other Stingray 5s, and I still need to set this one up, I like the way the maple neck speaks.
Cons:
HATE gold hardware! Will EB sell hardware? If they do, I'll try to pick up some Stealth hardware. Although that will still leave the pickups with the gold pole pieces, I think I can live with that. If they won't, I gotta find an alternative...
Anyway, that's my new bass. Glad to be back... | I love the way your bass looks. Especially the gold hardware.

If you need an alternative, maybe sell her to me to fund a new one? haha
It's funny, the thing I would be looking for if she were mine, would be a replacement bridge/tailpiece assembly with a mute kit.

Unless you are really dead set against gold hardware, you might consider leaving it... EB doesn't offer gold hardware even on custom orders (I tried), they only put gold hardware on limited run special edition models. Just a thought.

Actually I traded a MM sterling for it with another TB'er. I've taken it to one full band practice where I played it though a friends Orange 1x15 combo. It sounded pretty awesome to say the least. Massive punch and deep lows that I'm not used to with my passive fender P. I just slapped a new set of Sunbeams on it and it sounds sweet. Now I've got some major gas for a black/maple classic. |

I also cut the shell as well. The gold one pictured below didn't work with the scheme, so if anyone is interested in a brand new Gold Rush pickguard from Chandler guitars in HS format, pm me. Quote:

Ran it through my GK 800rb and my trusty old peavey 2x15 cab. Sounded very tight and punchy. Love the clarity and the oomph of the E string. Had the dancefloor shaking all night. |

I (almost) always like a white pearl better than a regular white one. Nice job on the mod Shak.
