Yes , these basses are famous for the neck dive problems ! But this is not a big problem at all. They does not have perfect balance, but nothing so drastic !
| My Brown Bass (the Alembic on the far left) has a slight tendency to dive, but it's very easily eliminated by using a 4" wide Italia strap w suede bottom. Also nice for spreading the 9+ lb weight pretty effortlessly. |

The second one may have had a little surgery at the hands of its current owner (David Rangel) to move the neck pick-up.
