My first NBD (on Talk Bass)!

Decided to spend a little bit of money to get a back up bass. I wanted to get a 4 string because the 5 string has been putting a strain on my wrists when I'm practicing. I didn't want to spend much, but I wanted something awesome.

Here it is :

The G and D strings don't seem to be in the middle of the pole pieces. But I don't mind.

I had to lower the string height to my liking and set the intonation, but now it plays really well. I was instantly comfortable with it. I guess I got lucky considering I ordered it online without trying it out.

I like it, clean and simple. I'm not a P-bass guy because I don't find them comfy to play, but they sure look good and sound good.

I like it. It looks like a Classic Vibe 60s model, but I've only seen them in Fiesta Red. Can you confirm the model?
Thanks

The first pic isn't great, but it looks like there is a signature on the headstock.

Looks killer Squire makes some great stuff these days! No biggie about the pole pieces not lining up.

Yeah, had I just clicked over to Page 2 on the Fender website, I would have seen the Matt Freeman model available in Black or White.

Man, it does look appealing!

Looks great! Possibly my favorite pbass finish combo at the moment - wish I could justify another! Enjoy it and congrats - these Squiers are great and much loved here on TB. Welcome to a new NBD.

Nice. Squier doesn't get enough love. Decent basses at a nice price.

BTW the pole line up you mentioned looks like its just because the pickup for D and G is is offset a little to the left. Could be due to a bad cut on the pick guard. A new PG may fix that for you. Squier sometimes suffer from small QC issues like that. Honestly I don't think it should effect anything. I have a Dimarzio Model P on my Ibanez that doesn't line up, I think because its designed for P bass string spacing, but still sounds great.

Congrats on the new bass!

Thanks guys. I've been playing this thing all day. So gat-dang smooth. I believe it was strung up with D'Addarios at Sweetwater. So there was no need to change those.

I barely know who this Matt Freeman fella' is, but he sure knows how my bass should look and feel.

Great score on the PBass. I did a video over on YouTube about how the Squiers just seem to get nailed with haterade more often than they should. They're giggable basses for sure.
