I had an old Yammy P-style bass that was hard playing and never sounded very good. Took it into my local shop and asked their advice for setting it up - they said it wasn't worth it. Anyway it got me through my first bass gigs and had an alder body. So I see this SS neck on Rondo for $29 and I get an idea about doing a P / MM combo and the routing lended itself to a Tele switch plate.
Thought I would share...
So here's my 30" scale Frankenbass with passive GFS pups, a MM knockoff bridge, the Tele plate is wired with a push\pull coil split on the MM. It's really fun to play and very versatile. I especially like the coil split tones.
My tortoise p\g material is here, now I need to figure out a design.
