Name that... Case?

I recently bought a case off of eBay for like $25. Could you ID this thing? It looks Fender-ish to me...

The impression left by the bass doesn't look like a Fender to me ?

That case company was making em for everyone. Over the years I've see Rics and a few Musicmans with blue interiors.

Yeah my old Rick 4001 came in a case like that, but with a molded interior

They surely made them both ways. My 1980 Ric case was blue inside and not molded to the body shape.

Probably a G&G from the compartment shape. G&G started building cases for Fender and others in the early 70's. Before that it was the Victoria Luggage Co. The only thing that's puzzling me is the steel insert in the handle.

Taking another look at it G&G used blue interiors for the early Alembic cases.

The previous owner said he used it to hold his Fender P, but mostly for a Soundgear.

Clearly the same case manufacturer as my old Rick case - other than the lack of a molded insert its basically identical - but as has been said, I think that manufacturer made cases for everyone back in the day.

I have basically the same case and I've always assumed it's a G&G.
Mine has the same blue interior, the same handle insert, everything.
