I do not believe mesa is at NAMM ths year. I read that they were not at any rate. I was hoping for a bass tube amp.

How about Carvin? They do lefties good!

BTB7 MSRP Price

If that figure is correct, that's not bad at all. Very reasonable. The price seems to be a midpoint of the Conklin GT series. A new GTBD-7 is $1,855 and the GT-7 new is $1,269.

Plus, if you bought the BTB7 during a 15% off sale, that'd bring the price down to about $1,521.

could just be the angle, but it looks like the neck pickup was moved back a smidge to make room for the deep-inset neck.

EDIT: umm...it seems they do have some new SR models after all...I don't recognize the one with what seems to be a poplar burl top...and is that gold hardware?
I found the new amber SR805PB for $900 at a few webstores. It looks just like the slightly older SR650PB to me, but with the newer (10'+) EQB-IIIS 3-band eq w/Mid frequency switch - same as the SR500 and up.

I live...about 45 min from Anaheim...drives me nutty that I can't be there. I'm not a pro, just a lousy student of bass.

I like Carvin. One of the owner/builders used to come to our gigs since he was friends with my previous band's guitarist who had Carvin guitars and amps -- real nice guy. But I prefer the rounder 80's designs to their current pointy designs.

I really want a Fender Tele bass. They have several on the market right now: sting/dirnt/modern... all do not come in a lefty version... that is part of my frustration these days.

Wow So I was right in thinking that is a new model

Ok, so it seems the ppl in charge of the website have finally managed to do their job and upload the darn pages; for the last couple of days it was horrible.

On the other hand, I see (again) that the US and Japan markets got new stuff, while the EU got (as usual) ignored. Apart from the 160X Premium, nothing new on our side of the fence. Darn...

Yeah, kind of...to me it looks like a SR700 with a different top (due to the similar looking center body piece) - but the hardware perfectly matches the finish & colour. It sure is a stunning looking bass.

That is harsh, you would think one of those popular mass run basses would be available as a lefty.

You should flip a right handed Pawn Shop Reverse Jaguar!

Am I the only one who's dying to see how good the Ashdown Neo cabs will be? Awesome that they are really expanding their market, I always feel alone over here in the U.S. haha
