NBD: 1982 Peavey T-40!!

After looking for so long, I finally found a T-40 in awesome condition for a good price, $350 for the bass + ohsc. This thing definitely lives up to it's "tank" reputation because this thing is 12.5 lbs. and feels indestructible!! It's got some battle scars on it and belt buckle rash on the back, but it is a decade older than me, so that's to be expected, and I don't mind anyway

I had one of those back in the day. I think I got mine used in 1979. But I didn't appreciate it because I was a young idiot. I wish I'd hung onto it. They are probably too heavy to gig, but the sounds you can get out of 'em..

My first bass was the mighty Peavey T-40. I got it when I was 16 (1987) at a pawn shop for $70.

I played it for over 10 years before I ever learned all basses weren't that heavy. That's why I usually chuckle when I read posts about people complaining about "heavy" basses. Every bass, that's not a T-40, is super lightweight to me!

Good luck! Very pretty one too. 12.5? You lucked out. My dearly departed '79 in black was 14.2. Really.... But it played and sounded amazing. Yours will too.
