NBD: 2012 MIA Jade Pearl Antigua P

Hey all:

Here is my newest girl, customized with a one of a kind Antigua pickguard and my "trademark" chrome thumbrest.

What do you all think?

I think it looks great. Where did you get that antigua pickguard or did you have it sprayed like that?

I was lucky enough through a Fender "friend" to get a new one which is virtually impossible to get.

I normally not a fan of Jade Pearl or Antigua....the two together is awesome, remonds of old warplanes.

Thanks,
I hear you, definitely vintage looking and modern sounding.

Not a fan of Antigua basses, but that combo looks nice. Someone had a white P with Antigua guard in the classifieds that looked cool too, but the Jade Pearl looks very classy.

That was me...I decided to keep the bass and try this combo.

Which combo do you like better.

I really like the Jade Pearl. It looks good on the white, but this really is a good combo. I didn't realize the JP was so similar to the Antigua green.

Nice bass!

Any new Precision is cool and that one really is.

It would look killer with a tortoise shell guard too.

Thanks, Actually, it really is not..The Antigua which I've had in the past is an almost "olive drab", glossy but no depth.

The Jade on the other hand is a light metallic green which as you say and I have to agree with, looks really good and helps the actual antigua green color on the pickguard look even better.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Im not usually a fan of solid color basses. I like bursts or natural wood but in this case I really like the color. :-)

Can I borrow it for my St Patricks day gig?
