NBD ... 70s Semi-Hollow RAVEN (Canadian Content) Just picked up this sweet 1970s Raven. It's almost exactly (if not exactly) like my 1970 Aria Hollow 5020. Raven is one of those brands that I believe was mainly distributed in Canada. Other Canadian brands include Mann (rumoured to be Ibanez), Northern (they have Canadian Maple Leaves as fret markers ... all they need is back bacon pickups ... hey hoser), and El Degas. It's possible that Pan may be another. These brands are mainly well made Japanese guitars but the history is a bit fuzzy for many of these makers. Anyone know any other guitar brands that were imported mainly to the Canadian market? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Cool lookin' bass man. Congrats! |
CONGRATS VERY COOL |
very cool, nice gear in those shots. Garnet is another one I picked up a pretty cool Northern Jazz bass a couple years ago, funky. |
Cool. I have a 68 "teardrop" Raven. They have a very unique tone. Nice Ayotte drums there too! I have an Attila Balogh Odyssey, He worked with Ray Ayotte to set up the original company. Enjoy the Raven, it's a looker! |
Diastone is another brand. Mostly acoustic guitars. Like Mann. |
Congrats Man, all the best with it! :bassist: |
