NBD- '95 50th Deluxe P-Bass !!

I picked up this awesome '95 50th Deluxe P-Bass in Trans. Blue w/ OHSC today. The neck feels great and the pickups sound fat and punchy. It's in really good condition for a '95. This is not one of those gimme finds, but still a pretty good deal. Here's the obligatory pics.

Great bass. I have a 96 and 97 J with red and white burst finishes, respectively.

Thanks guys. Is this color called Trans Blue or Blue Burst? Just wondering what the right name is.

I believe it's called Transparent Blue Metallic.

I had one ,,,look in my history...

The finish is called BLUEBURST. Its a fender factory finish. I did a lot of research and that's what it is ,I would bet money in it . Look at it and it is a burst style in all blue. The color is solid around the edges and blend to transparent towards the center

Its not common at all ... Somewhat rare for basses but not as much so for strats.

nice find ,irs a beautiful bass and even more stunning in person .....

If I'm not mistaken, '95 was the first year for that Deluxe model. Those P's were awesome with that fat humbucker near the bridge. One of my sons had one of the Vintage Blonde's for awhile. The only thing I didn't like about it was the horrible-looking tort guards that some colors came with. I love tort, but that was a period of cheap-looking, ugly tort for Fender. Of course you don't have to deal with it on that beauty. Enjoy!

Thanks for the info on the official color. Then BLUEBURST it is.I guess it's not that common, cause this was the first time I've ever seen one in person. That's the reason I wanted it besides being a 50th Annv.

Absolutely STUNNING!
If they made this bass in a fiver, I would have to spend the rest of my life hunting one down.

Nice color. Question Fender owners - are there some fender P basses that are built better then other Fender P-basses based on what year they were manufactured? I've seen some threads speaking about how better some basses are because of the year they were made...just wondering.

The bass in this link is just that! A Dream Bass. Truly beautiful and with a maple fingerboard. As someone said earlier....STUNNING! Why did Fender stop making these in 5 strings? Were sales that bad?

That is a really nice looking 5-string with the maple neck.I'm sure Fender Custom Shop could make one like it for a small fortune.
