I have the exact same bass but it's black with a tortoise pickguard.....not as beautiful as the one you posted. Might have to get a paint job. Again..thanks for posting the link...STUNNING!

It's SOLD
I just realized I owned one of these basses in trans red. I ended up selling it because the neck was a little hard for me to play.

Black and Tort is a killer combo. Maybe the guy that bought the one I posted will end up selling in the near future. You never know. I'd keep yours like the way it is. Nothing looks more classy than a Black guitar or bass all shined up for a night out.

Thanks for the complement and I will. I guess the one you posted looked so eye catchy that I was a little envious.

Here's my 1996 Crimson burst and my 1997 White Burst. Great basses.

Guy the Crimson is sweet, but the White Burst is AWESOME. I'd love to have that in a 4 or 5. Very nice!!

Thanks. I looked for the white for three years on ebay, CL and here. Then, one day I was in GC getting some PA gear when I saw it hanging at the very top of the Bass wall I assumed that it would be pretty beat up, but it looks like it's been in a closet for 15 years. Couldn't be happier with it. Both basses are now wearing Sadowsky preamps, which sound great with the Suhr pickups.

The crimson......well, I've owned that bass THREE different times. I bought it off of ebay and owned it for about a year, then sold it in a moment of weakness here on TB. I regretted the decision and bought it back a few months later. Then....I sold it again. The third time is the charm. These basses fit me perfectly.

Very cool story about the Crimson.I do have another question for you.Does my bass have the Suhr pickups in it, or is it just the Jazz bass from the same time? I was reading about this, but it didn't make it clear if it was ONLY the Jazz that had the Suhr pickups.
