I've been thinking about acquiring a short-scale bass for several months, and when this 1965-1970-vintage 30" Baldwin came along, I couldn't resist; back in the day, Pop had one just like this, which was stolen from a gig. I'll post more pictures when I get over the flu.
It's going to take some TLC to get in good shape; not unexpected for an axe that's almost as old as I am. There's a problem with the pickup selector switch that promises to be very challenging to solve!
Despite condition issues with the finish, tuning machines, etc., I love the way the G and D strings sound comparatively full and rich on short-scale basses versus "normal" basses. Overall. a nice bass.
