My friend Ben Lindsey just delivered a wonderful P bass to me this past week....I pretty much asked for a classic 60's style P bass, and sent him some wood and parts to use, but he took te bull by the horns and came up with a fantastic looking, playing, and sounding instrument! The pickup is one of his own, hand wound, and it sounds perfect, every bit as good as the Fralins I have been using but with a personality of it's own. Very clear, very loud, and full of punch. Here's some bad iPhone pics just to tease, real pictures to follow in a few days....thanks Ben for an amazing instrument! |

The neck is 1.75" at the nut, very comfortable for me. It even has a capacitor from the 60's according to Ben! It weighs 8 pounds, 6 ounces so also on the light side which I appreciated....I would also like to mention Ben's astonishingly good fretwork, he clearly spent a lot of time on it. Action is low and uniform with no buzzing.

Clear... full range... solid lows (not muddy at all!)
