NBD - Coral Pink Squier MusicMaster

oh man - I've been waiting to see one of these in person. They NEVER come up around here. Browsing CL today - saw this one for $200!!

Needs fresh strings but that's it. The first shortscale I've played that has a big sound. And coral pink too boot! win win win

Cell phone pics - camera batteries recharging but better than nothin'!

Haha! I know the feeling well. Its a hell of a player - I've had a couple other short scale basses but nothing plays or sounds like this one.

Perhaps the Holy Grail of discontinued, inexpensive basses.

Sweeeeet! You got a heluva deal. I got a black one that I paid $250 for, and I love it. Enjoy your new bass.

Hey, that's me and my little pink Squire.
It's surprisingly heavy for a short scale. Weighs 8.8lbs.
It has a very nice feel and a good little growl.

I remember paging through the Squier pamphlets as a teenager during the mid-to-late-90's. They had a very impressive lineup at the time, albeit very retro-inspired, thanks to the rise of Grunge and the resurgence of Punk.

Interestingly-enough, Fender recently resurrected the Squier Super Sonic, a reverse-bodied, dual-humbucker Jaguar, into the Fender "Pawn Shop" series.

I'm still waiting for a resurrection of that dual-soapbar 5-string Precision bass that Squier once had in their lineup...

Very cool - mine isn't heavy at all. It does neck-dive a bit though.

Great playing in that video!

That's a killer looking bass. Love the color. I think I need to add one to my collection.

I agree! I lucked into one a year ago that was traded in at the very store it was bought at. The bass was like new..never played so it appeared with hang tags and its gig bag for $250. Mine is surf green loud an snotty.
