Ever since my Fender BG-31 had a bridge incident which would cost $100 to have the E-string slot fixed, I've wanted a new acoustic bass. I've been saving up for one, since money is tight (married college students) and big purchases require discussion and time etc.
ANYWAY, here it is! My beautiful brand-new Ibanez AEB5E in gorgeous Light Violin Sunburst. It is soo gorgeous and sounds amazing! I'm going to keep the stock strings on it until they die, then probably order some D'Addario Tapewounds for it. It was a complete surprise! Needless to say, I love my amazing wife

I feel like I am having a full circle moment in congratulating you on your new acoustic bass as a gift, since my dad gave me my Martin and I heard from you as well. Cool story. I hope it gives you years of enjoyment. Might be good tool to serenade the missus!
