NBD EB-3

Just got my new Epiphone EB-3 back from my tech Jimmy the guy is a phenom. I got a setup and added a new Hipshot Supertone bridge and a set of a new model of strings D'Addario XL NICKEL ROUND WOUND - 4-String Balanced Tension Set,Type: EXL220BT - Super Light 33lbs - .040 .055 .070 .095. I'm probably going to add the DiMarzio DP145 Will Power next I really love this bass and the strings are really balanced as advertised and they sound fantastic. I can't think of too many basses that are as good for the money and I especially like the worn cherry finish.

Here is a picture of Jimmy and the bass.

Those basses look so cool. I first noticed the Gibson version in the hands of Trevor Bolder (correct spelling?) and Dennis Dunaway. Congrats.

Thanks I played the Gibson and you can't tell them apart that's why I went with the Eppy great bass even with these light strings it has some boom. I love the feel of the neck fit and finish were great right out of the box I wasn't looking for another bass but I'm glad I got this one.

I love the original bridge but even changing the strings was a chore this is one of the few bridge upgrades that just make sense it's such a thick solid bridge and helps to redistribute the weight of the bass I don't hear any magic increases in tone and sustain but worth the money.
