NBD - Ibanez SR705

I've been wanting one of these for quite some time, and finally got one! I got it from Sweetwater on a no interest payment plan.

In recent thread there was a question on the neck joint looking a bit crooked on the bass side, and it's simply body contouring with the new extended neck joint.

I really like the new easy access truss rod plate - it just rotates open ... no screws to remove.

Tiger striped beast! Congrats on your new bass. How does it sound and play?

It has a super nice slim neck, 3band Bart EQ w/mid freq switch, and weighs 8lbs - 14oz.
I love the sound of Ibby SR, and it comes stock with Elixir strings.

And it's much more beautiful than transblack one

Which, honestly, I like as well

But yours strikes really

Congrats Sol

Cheers,

Gorgeous bass man. I love Ibanez's quality on those 500+ models.

How are the pickups for the E and B? I had an SR700 for a while, but ultimately got rid of it because the pickups were HUGE and BOOMY for the E string, but the A, D, and G basically just sounded pingy and percussive. It was kind of frustrating because I loved the feed of the bass.

Gorgeous bass! I'll echo others comments as well - beautiful grain pattern! Just stunning! Huge congrats!
