Smile NBD Japanese Fender P-Bass

I got this bass yesterday from a nice guy off of my local c-list. It used to be a white color but to quote the guy I got it from "I dinged it too many times, so I took some sand paper and torched it." I think it looks great. He told me it was made in the early 90s but I haven't checked the serial number yet. So far I love it!

MIJ Fenders (and some of the MIJ Squiers, too!) are great instruments!

I love my MIJ Squier P in the way she is now (USA Fender pickups + upgrade electronics).

Honestly it might be. That's one of the only downsides of buying from Craigslist. I really know nothing about this bass except for what I can see. All I know is that it's comfortable and sounds good.

it's not a bad thing if it is. those are great necks and worth a couple hundred in their own.

Well considering the price I paid for the whole thing, I think I made off fairly well! Thanks for the input, I don't know too much about japanese fenders
