I've been spending more time comparing the SR5 with the TL Sig, and I think that the comparisons from before are pretty much the same. The Musicman is clearly a nicer instrument from the finish to the feel to the fretwork.
The TL Sig has a chunkier neck, but the time is still pretty awesome from the TL. I wonder if the split from EB and OLP was due to this bass or some other squabble. Or perhaps EB saw a potential market for their own line of offshore productions.
Anyhow, I can't tell if its the Alnico pickup or what, but the TL still sounds great. The SR5 has more choices due to the series/single coil/parallel switch, and the preamp seems a little quieter than the OLP one.
I was thinking that I'd sell the TL Sig, but now I'm thinking that putting flats on one of these basses might be nice.
Spoiled, I tell you...
