NBD: my Jaco Tribute

Just completed my Jaco Tribute bass today. It's wonderful, an absolute joy to behold!

- U.S.A. Fender Highway One 3TSB loaded body with the nitro finish buffed to a shine
- Allparts lined fretless ebony neck with coated fingerboard
- Original 60's Fender threaded saddle bridge
- Hipshot Ultralite Clover tuners

Weighs only 8.5 lb. and is everything I've ever wanted in a fretless!
Now I just need to beat it around a little to get it looking like the pre-resto Bass of Doom...

I agree, not a fan of artificial relicing. What I'm saying is that I need to play mine as much as Jaco played his to get it looking the part!

Thanks guys! My vision for this build was to create "my" Jaco Tribute, using all
USA parts and with some upgrades I prefer such as the Hipshot Ultralites and ebony board.

Man did it come out great! Now I need to track down a Custom Shop relic to compare with

Did Allparts epoxy the fingerboard or did you have that done elsewhere? I'm thinking about a neck upgrade for my Squier 'Jaco Jr' VM Jazz and I want to go with an epoxied fingerboard.

The epoxy was done by my tech. I don't know of any manufacturer that offers an epoxy finish neck from the factory. It's a very labor-intensive hand work process.

Did you order the neck coated, or have that done after? And is it epoxy?

EDIT. Never mind. I was slow.
