NBD: Peavey Palaedium (Jeff Berlin Signature) Just picked this up from a guy on Craigslist. It is a super cool bass. The pickups are super punchy and clear with an awesome mid-range bite. It is sort of a one trick pony, but that one trick is super good sounding. Some people might not dig the aesthetics, but I think it is a really classy looking bass; very simple and understated. In addition, the toothpick neck is probably the most comfortable neck I have ever played. Amazingly shallow front to back. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The contours are super deep on the body and it is incredibly comfortable. ![]() |
Interesting seeing knots in the wood. Usually companies try to avoid those. |
Nice bass. REALLY nice. Enjoy! |
 Very nice, these were cool basses when the first came out. I had a red one. |

One of (if not THE most) underrated basses in history. If Jeff Berlin uses it, you know it's gotta be damn near perfect. Because he's one of the most anal retentive bassists I've ever seen in my life. But, it's sure paid off for him. In spades!!! |
Wanted to BUY one of these when they first came out..Sam Ash had a dark purple one...yecch...waited and waited, then discontinued..one of the coolest basses ever.. Super light..sounded great..Jeff was going for the "the replacement for the Fender Jazz" To me this got close..I still remember that part. |

Very cool. Super slim necks on those and the Dean Berlin models. I had a Czech Dean Berlin model for a while. Really tight Jazz sound. |

Great looking. I've never seen a knot on a bass. Kinda cool. Enjoy. |
I used to have a red one as well...gigged it for years. Loved the neck and the tone. Nice score |
Congrats, cool looking bass. |
I like it! |
first, great looking bass! second, why do you think it's a one trick pony? with the wide pickup spacing id think you could a bunch of sounds out of it. |
