The pickups are super punchy and clear with an awesome mid-range bite. It is sort of a one trick pony, but that one trick is super good sounding.
Some people might not dig the aesthetics, but I think it is a really classy looking bass; very simple and understated.
In addition, the toothpick neck is probably the most comfortable neck I have ever played. Amazingly shallow front to back.
The contours are super deep on the body and it is incredibly comfortable.

If Jeff Berlin uses it, you know it's gotta be damn near perfect. Because he's one of the most anal retentive bassists I've ever seen in my life. But, it's sure paid off for him. In spades!!! |

Super light..sounded great..Jeff was going for the "the replacement for the Fender Jazz"
To me this got close..I still remember that part.

To me this got close..I still remember that part. | The difference to me is the Palaedium doesn't have the scooped Jazz sound with both pickups full up. It is really midrangey throughout- which is really awesome! |

I had a Czech Dean Berlin model for a while. Really tight Jazz sound. |

second, why do you think it's a one trick pony? with the wide pickup spacing id think you could a bunch of sounds out of it.
