Nice bass,i've always wanted to try one. I like the simplicity of the passive circuit, and the bart pickups. They seem to be fairly rare,i guess they were never a big seller for Peavy.

I believe the Palaedium has Peavey Quad Coil pickups. I've owned several of them and they are great basses. I bought one cheap in the late 1990's and it had one bad pickup and it was impossible to find another quad coil. (even Peavey had none available)

They are quad coil. Not entirely sure what effect that has on the sound though...

Congrats on your recent purchase. I have had my Palaedium (red) for many years and love it, although it sits in the case these days as I now primarily play 5-string basses.

Mine had a hipshot installed when I baught it and the back of the headstock is signed by Tony Levin. I have not gone through authenticating the signature, but I have looked up his signature on line and it's authentic or a really good forgery. Regardlees I love the feel and sound of the Palaedium.
