NBD: Status Graphite Stealth 5
Headless, as you might infer from the tuners. The full-lenght shots I was able to get with my phone camera weren't good enough to share. This close-in shot in sunlight makes the carbon fiber weave visible.
I haven't played it through a real amp yet - just a Microbass II and headphones. So far I can say that the fit and finish are outstanding, that it plays in tune everywhere, and that the ergonomics are excellent. It weighs only 7.4lb. I had the 3-band EQ option installed, and it's superb. The sweepable mid cut/boost is more subtle than I'd imagined, while the bass and treble controls are less so. Max treble cut and max treble boost positions are extreme yet very musical. Between the EQ and the pickup mix, there's a huge palette of tones available. With most basses, I home in pretty quickly on the settings that suit my style, but this one may take a bit longer.
