Taken care of by Bob Groat, Michael Dolan's finishing guy. Ive been wanting to do this for a long time now and finally did. I defretted it and sent it off, and this is what came back. enjoy.
showing the level of reflectivity.
single white dots at every fret.
The neck, headstock, and fretboard are maple. before they were natural and had a cool vibe, but I wanted to go for a sleek black and chrome look. I got it, thats for sure. I am extremely happy with the end result. it also plays very well. although when I pick it up its almost too nice to play, but I remind myself its a tool to use, not just to look at. I have the action lowered almost all the way (all the way actually bottoms out a little) and I can get mwah and slop, or punch and definition when I want it. finally a fretless bass that feels comfortable to me! Ive owned 4 in the past. Ive loved playing them, using their sound, but they just werent...me. hope yall enjoy as much as I am.

| | | | Wow that's awesome. What finish did you use? Won't it wear out when you play? At least in the fretboard... |

Oh well, its what I wanted
