NBW... new bass week!

Since I closed up shop and went back to working on Mopars for a living, I decided to build a couple of basses for myself. These are two I've wanted to make for a long, long time...

The first is the NRTB5 (Non-Reverse Thunderbird 5-string)

The second is my ThunderBacker 8-string (Ric-ish shape with Thunderbird pickups)

(I know there's only 4 strings on it in this pic... I was waiting for my RotoSounds to arrive)

The 8-string has a strange tone... not something I'd want to have as my only instrument, but still useful.

I love your Thunderbacker!

I can't say I dig the other reverse Tunderbird aesthetically, but I'm sure they sound good.

Forgive me for asking, but what about the aesthetics of the TBird doesn't appeal to you?

That 5 string reverse thunderbird is one of the most unique basses I've seen.
Probably cause I haven't been around long, but just the same great work

+2 basses and Mopars! Life is good. I'm a lifetime Mopar or no car guy and bass player for nearly 28 years.

Really dig the Thunderbacker. Great work on both.
