So when I am performing on Stage I have to change my Amp Settings when I use the Fender because the Settings for the Ibanez is not strong enough to give me the volume I needed for the fender.
I was thinking of getting a PreAmp Pedal to give the Fender a little more boost and just activate the Pedal while I use the Fender. Would this resolve my issue at all before I go out and purchase one?
If anyone knows of any other suggestions I am open for them as well.
I appreciate any help anyone can give me in this matter.
I have dealt with the same thing in the past - I set my DI send to post-Gain, and adjusted my Gain setting depending on the bass I was using... Typically, I'd be running my Gain around noon with the hotter bass, and around 1 o'clock with the other - once I got used to doing that, it was no big deal...
A more expensive option would be to use a Radial bass bone - it will do all that with the push of a button, once properly set up...
Another option would be to have a tech install a trim pot on the hotter bass... Truthfully, tweaking my Gain worked really well for me - and didn't require any extra gear or expense...
