Needing some more help with my next bass purchase.

i played a sr505 at guitar center today...omg i loved it. it sustained well and played fast. And the eqing options were SICK!

I noticed that its still a 34" scale length . with it being a 5 string bass, will it provide any advantage still with lower tuning (A# G# dropped range?)

im using a 4 string 34" jazz bass for the same purpose and im actually not upset with it at all as far as tone, its just that sr505 played so damn well. and i need two bass's for the road

i guess what im asking is can it be successfully done to tune it that low without having to many negative effects because its still a 34"

Do you know if they make an identical modle to the sr505 but with the 35" neck?

Sorry for my ignorance.
