New Bass Day

Bought this on a whim. I had owned a Highway 1 jazz bass years ago and always kicked myself for selling it. I spotted one a couple of weeks ago online (new old stock) and pulled the trigger. I gotta say it plays great and once i figure out what pick guard to stick on there, it's going to look great as well. I had heard that most of the bodies on these basses are three piece but can't find a seam. I was also pleasantly surprised that there were no routes under the pick guard. Suggestions for pick guard color welcome!

Nice looking bass. May I suggest a tort guard.

Enjoy in good health.

I'd go with tort as well. I see one seam on the upper part of the body, but most of it is buried under the burst.

I'm no tortloafer, but imo 3tsb and rosewood screams for a tort guard.

I agree! With that finish color a Tort pickguard seems like a no brainer!

Another vote for tort here! May not be the most original combo but it sure looks beautiful.

I used to have a sunburst Jazz myself. I tried out a black pearl and was very pleased with the results.

The finish on that is super nice. Is there any way those screw holes can be filled? She looks too good to censor.
