Truth in advertising is always a nice touch.

| | | Mine arrived yesterday!
Quite happy with it. Its VERY buzzy to play. Think its not set up very well. Might have to adjust the truss rod. And its ALOT lighter in weight that I was expecting. Love the size of the neck. Over all Im happy with it.
Hoping to try it out on Sat with the band.
Has anyone used BR BBT strings on these? The band likes to down tune to D os I was thinking of getting a set.
Any advise welcome.
Here is a shot of mine! :-) |

Here is a shot of mine! :-) | Fantastic colours on that sunburst!
Never been a big fan of sunburst, but that bird of yours looks amazing... Now I might even consider buying one of these too.
Can you tell how many ply's are used for the neck? Judging from the pictures on the Sweetwater site it looks more like a 9 ply neck as opposed to the advertised 7 ply.

Can you tell through the laquer whether these basses actually are 7 ply neck-through and not 9 ply?
Judging from the close-up pictures of a sunburst T-bird on the Sweetwater site, the neck-through laminate looks pretty similar to the neck-through laminate of a Gibson T-bird:
Sweetwater:
Gibson:
One things for certain the Classic looks nowhere near the 7 ply laminate of the T-bird pro's, which is totally different...

| | | | Does anyone know if this Clasic line will include Pro V (i.e 5 string model?)
even people who like/love the current Pro V review indicate a lot to be desired in fit/finish from the factory and from the review it sounds as if that is all upgraded with the Classic series for Pro IV.
If there were Classic Pro V in the future I would put off upgrading until I could try one. |

Endorsing Artist Mike Lull T Bass pickups | | Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: Seattle Washington | | I'm kind of curious about a Fiver in this series too, I don't own a 5 string of any kind and the band's music hasn't required one, but if Epi did one along these lines I'd sure consider it.
Meantime, here's some 9 ply, courtesy of Gibson 1989. |

Seems there isn't much difference between the Gibson and the Epiphone after all. |
