New ESP/LTD MIJ Basses

Just saw these on the ESP site. Scroll to the bottom. They look really nice, curious on pricing.

I was at the NAMM show last week and the Rep in the booth told me these LTD Elites are rebadged Edwards. Made in Japan. They looked good, especially the guitars...

I like the Pancho Tomaselli/J series, slightly sharper take on the offset J body. Looks good.

Are J basses really that much more popular than Ps? All I wanted was a P and they wouldn't give it to me...

J basses are more popular than P basses in the sense that they sell way more pieces

Other than that, Esp/Ltd do sell P style basses
They're configured P/J, down to passive electronics, but they're P basses anyway

They're called Vintage
They tend to be factory relic'd, but they're no expensive (made in China, if Ltds) and well crafted

Or you can go with something more
I got an Ltd Frank Bello
It's made in Korea and heavy as heck: full alder body + maple neck (repainted black just like body, to let it look a neckthru) ebony fingerboard with abalone bindin' an' block (so you can't see where you're at in the dark of stagesets) and P/J EMGx active pickups.

It kills

Cheers,
Wallace

Oh yeah! No more relic on the vintage stuff. They have some really nice looking LTD offerings. But, alas, no plain old P-Bass. But they do offer a few PJ options. The Frank Bello is pretty badass, in my opinion.
