I love those glossy necks and the vintage tint..i hope it stays that way because that would really be a deal breaker for me.. |

does this new AVRI line offer improvement in tone or quality? or is all of this purely aesthetic? |

I imagine it'll be the same situation with the basses.

im still not sure, what are the differences between '62 and '63 precision? |
01-10-2013, 03:19 AM
| | | | I'm sure there could be several subtle detail differences between '62 and '63. My guess is that they introduced new custom color options in 1963, along with the rosewood veneer to replace slab rosewood boards which had been the norm from '59 through '62. Maybe new pickguard variations? |

Yep, I saw the train coming, heading straight for the checkbook.

I love the necks on my AVRIs, but the orange tint has always seemed a bit much. I'm much happier to see the lighter tint, personally.

Yep, I saw the train coming, heading straight for the checkbook. | Just had the talk with mine last night. If thee come in around the $1900 mark, there's a Sonic Blue P in my future.

Clay dots, correct logo with pat numbers and everything. Well done Fender! |

Anyway, love the Sonic blue P and Oly white 74 Jazz with maple neck. The red P and LPB Jazz are right up there as well.
