I'd like something a a little more accurate than the Play-Doh yellow Japanese RI, and a tad more affordable than the Custom Shop RIs.

| | | | As I said in a similiar topic: In my opinion Fender will just try to make the New American Vintage Series a little more accurate than the current ones. I wouldn't be surprised if they rise like 600 dollars on the street price to just add the 'pat numbers' on the headstock and get the 12th fret dots "right". |

And make the 2 knob concentric style work like the originals on the jazz.

I'd be thrilled if they'd just get the details right for the existing years.
12th fret dots, year-specific neck profiles, correct headstock shape,
body contours, little hardware details …
New model years and color options would be icing on the cake.

i hope they just fix some historical inaccuracies on them. so they will be still early 60's p and j basses available in sunburst. and the black jazz 62 is cool as well.
also im hoping for a 70's jazz in sunburst rw and pearl block inlays (like the mim 70's one). and more colours in general
and low prices in europe..... well.... |

With that said, we'll probably know no later than January as companies often release info during or just prior to winter NAMM.
I grabbed one of the fire-saled 62 AVRI P's because at under 1000.00, it was impossible to pass up.
sThat said, if any of the New American Vintage series shows up with a painted headstock in CAR or LPB, or worse, something is sporting Sherwood green, my checkbook doesn't stand a chance.

Also, a '59 split coil P w/rosewood.
And a mid '60s J Bass. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
