I bleed Fender but jeez. This is getting to be a very expensive relationship. At these prices , I could afford to go out and have an affair, bass or otherwise ! Heck, I am not beyond having Lakland build me something sweet.
Anyone have any good ideas on where I should be looking for fire sales on CS NOS ?

Unfortunately won't work, unless I want to buy an Affinity. No larger towns close which means that fuel would offset the deal, unless I find the right deal.
There are two 64 jazz' CS NOS on Flea Bay at 2600.00. Close enough in price that I'll just have to turn over some rocks and then make a decision.
Many thanks !

Would be crazy to think that speculation here may have pushed them past the $1600 mark, wouldn't it?

Lovin the 64, but this is nothing really "new" i.e. '70s classic jb for a fraction of the price....

I have to admit that I am pretty disappointed in the pricing. I could possibly understand $1600 for the P and $1700 for the J. MF has the J at $2399.
I am now waiting for the Stratosphere pricing.. Sonic P body.. Prob like $799

where im located there is almost no used market and we pay a whole lot more. id be super glad if i could get it for 2000$! |

__________
The problem I have with the cost is that may force me to want to give up the AVRI 62 P. The 62 is just way too sweet to take a chance on giving it up. Got my anno guard on it and Gotoh GB640 resolites. Monster tone, not to mention that it balances so well that it feels like it's a part of me. If I had to sell everything I own, I would be pushing a shopping cart with the AVRI in the basket.
Heck, even if I were to grab the 63 for a test drive, I would have to sit on the AVRI.
I am going to have to agree with others that this will surely force used prices on AVRI's to creep up.

Not gonna do it, wouldn't be prudent.

| Not likely. I was told March. The guitars released at these price points last year have been getting rave reviews. If it's not your thing snag up one of the outgoing models.
