For me the 'new vintages' are too close to Sadowsky pricing to consider anything but a Sadowsky. Market disinterest should reset today's prices.

Its funny you say that because it seems like these have a slightly different shape...like the body is more narrow. Anyone else notice that?

I see two different markets here. The vintage reissue Fenders have a totally different vibe than the more modern appointed Sadowskys.

I do not disagree, King. But there's also the reverberations of 'sticker shock' I like both vibes, but once the costs are equal, I'm goimg Sadoswky

I don't expect them to hold there, especially when you canget a Sadowsky Metro in that range

Less than half that in some cases...

Welcome to the AVRI Club.

Don't forget to post details about it once you get the bass in hands.

I think it is just "AV" Club now. They dropped the "reissue" from models' names.

The blue one is so damn sexy. I might need to find a way to get it. Might need to sell body parts.

You mean the LPB Jazz, or the Faded Sonic Blue Precision? Or both? They'd make a nice pair.

The faded sonic blues is a heavenly blue........I just wish they had sprinkled in a few more of the less "standard" colors as well.

My prediction is that we'll see street prices of $1699 by June. And I think that's a fair price point.

I also think that folks that want a Sadowsky or a Stingray or any other "modern" bass will get those and folks that crave the "old" fender mystique will jump on the new AV models.

Now all I need to do is get one of the new Sonic Blue P's as well as one of the new Fender Select Jazzmasters and convince my wife that I've had them for years but have been keeping it under the bed for safe keeping!!

Anybody got $4 grand they want to loan me!!???

I think the only thing that Sadowsky eats into is Fender's Deluxe and Select lines. If I wanted a vintage looking passive bass that sounds like a 60s Fender, Sadowsky would be the last brand I would look at (at least of the companies that make Fender knock-offs).

They will probably sell them separately soon, just like they sell sets of NEW (old model) AVRI covers on ebay.

Whoa. That's a jump, yeah. Hope they're really good enough to justify it. For now I guess I'll stick with my actual vintage Fenders.
