My prediction is that we'll see street prices of $1699 by June. And I think that's a fair price point.
I also think that folks that want a Sadowsky or a Stingray or any other "modern" bass will get those and folks that crave the "old" fender mystique will jump on the new AV models.
Now all I need to do is get one of the new Sonic Blue P's as well as one of the new Fender Select Jazzmasters and convince my wife that I've had them for years but have been keeping it under the bed for safe keeping!!
Anybody got $4 grand they want to loan me!!???

If I wanted a vintage looking passive bass that sounds like a 60s Fender, Sadowsky would be the last brand I would look at (at least of the companies that make Fender knock-offs).
