I have several CS NOS P's and J's, but in another thread many said not to take a CS to a Blues Jam (I know, the AV isn't cheap, but I wanted something nice.). I also wanted the tinted neck. Since the Sonic Blue is faded with a mint pg, shouldn't it also have an aged looking neck?
If you recall, the AVRI '62 Jazz used to come in LPB (although, not quite accurate), albeit without a painted headstock, so this color may be limited production. If you want it, better get it soon. |

As you can clearly see for numerous reasons pointed out, also the tort is still the same wrong material and why didnt they use nickel hardware? |

| Just curious, is that the same guard they use on the American Standard? Nice guard, looks good, but maybe not period correct.

I have the privilege of having two of them ... but many music producers ask for fender Basses... we can not ignore that!!! |

They are trying to be accurate, but are putting mint pickguards on them. Makes no sense.

But then Fender would probably be upping the MSRP, too.
Still, I'd like to get a hold of one and see how they play & sound. |

| | | | I know the actual tort guard doesn't like anything like the old ones, but am I the only person who thinks that the current tort looks better than the vintage ones? :P |

I like the darker and more brownish tortoise. |

| | | It depends on the color of the bass. Personally, I wish they put them out in 4 or 5 different shades. Quote:
