I'll take a P-bass please.

i'd be pissed if somebody threw up on my bass. No offence to those who like it, but I can't ever see myself buying a bass painted like that. Unless it was blue instead of that yellowish-green colour I see....

:O, I love antiqua! That p looks really nice. I wonder if these are just Mexican standards w/ special paint?

I'm not sure, but it looks that way. If it is, it's pricey, but I still would love to have one.

I remember a music store that I worked at had both a P & a J bass in Antigua in the early eighties... They were both new, they couldn't give them away. I didn't like them then, but Man, I really want one now!

We used to call those "snot burst". I always liked 'em.

I think it's cool Fender is re-releasing some! And, at a lower price point. I'm lucky to have an original '78 P-Fretless, but might be tempted to get a new matching Jazz!

TAKE MY MONEY!!!

It is a shame they made it a mexican, that colour deserves at least Japanese treatment, that thing looks AMAZING!

If it were an American, well, I guess I'd be buying two basses this month I shouldn't have

Yeah but I bet the people who own the vintage ones, and probably paid out the nose for them becuase they're rare, are glad that there's only a new Mexican version. A new American version would probably diminish the value of the vintage ones.

...I love the snotburst.

Hmmmm. I was thinking of having a custom Antigua burst jazz made. I guess I'll wait and try one of these out now.

Scotch, I just realized why I was gasing to add a fretless neck on to one of these! Your 78 precision is absolutely gorgeous.

I would LOVE one, don't care where it's made.
It's just too bad that by the time I could save up enough money, they'll likely be OOP. However, since I'm planning on trying to save up for a new AM.STD. Fender P-bass anyway, this , if it's still around when I've saved enough, might be a viable alternative for me. Any ideas on how long these FSR's usually hang around?

I'm waiting for the bowling ball re-issues.
Whay years were they made?
Each instrument was really an original finish.

I've always dug that specialty color. The 60's Antigua burst was more grey and the 70's was greener. The pics look more greyish to me, FWIW.

did a google search and one place had a "comin soon" page for the basses and the P was at $750 retail. i'd consider getting one of these 'cause i always thought they looked pretty cool, but i'd like to see it and play it in person, but i also wouldn't be bummed if i missed out on it, especially because fender's been doing a bunch of special runs lately and i'm sure something cooler might come up haha

Looks like 70's spacing on the Jazz.
