New P build: GOLD SPARKLE content!

Just couldn't help showing off the bass I finished assembling this morning. No, I didn't do the finish - bought the body finished that way. I think this one will be fun to use on stage, but first I'm excited to play it a bit and get it dialed in. Anyway, put on your sunglasses and enjoy!

Very nice! It has some cool '70's gold sparkle mojo.
Also curious - who did the paint job?

I actually bought the body pre-finished that way, off ebay. So not really sure.

I saw that body on eBay and wanted to buy it so bad. Glad it went to a good home. Good job!

Looks fantastic. Well done. Only thing that I would do is add a new set of dome knobs to match the bright chrome of the covers. Should look awesome on stage. Color me jealous.

Ooh... def needs new knobs, they look a bit corroded.

Do I detect a slight routing gap twix the pickguard.

Lovely though.

My '75 P-Bass has a similar routing gap in the exact same spot. Lovely bass!

Ditto my Squier Sliver Series... I don't feel too bad about it now.

Very cool! I was on the lookout for an ASAT a number of years ago, and when a gold sparkle one with matching headstock came up I knew that was the one I had to get!!! I'ts good to see gold fever hit someone else the same way.

Very nice build! Enjoy!!

P.S. That looks great under the lights....
