No, I didn't do the finish - bought the body finished that way. I think this one will be fun to use on stage, but first I'm excited to play it a bit and get it dialed in. I was on the lookout for an ASAT a number of years ago, and when a gold sparkle one with matching headstock came up I knew that was the one I had to get!!! I'ts good to see gold fever hit someone else the same way.
