New Sadowsky

1 Attachment(s)
I have been a bass player for 35 years and have owned many basses. In 1999, my wife bought me a Fender Custom Shop 64 relic for Christmas and up until now, I thought that bass was the best of the best (at least as far as I had ever owned). This Christmas, I received a Sadowsky Will Lee Metro 4 string, one similar to one we saw in Chicago at Bass Club Chicage (great guy's by the way) several months ago. Well, she remembered how cool I thought it was and she bought one.
Last night I played a New Years Eve party/ Wedding in Chapel Hill, NC and played this bass live for the first time. WOW, WOW, I cannot even begin to explain the differences between the two basses. Long story short, buy a Sadowsky!

Congrats! Playing a Sadowsky is an eye opening experience IMHO. Wait until you record with it!

Congrats on a beautiful bass.

Congrats and similar experiences here. Wait until you do some bigger gigs and the sound guys start gushing all over about the bass tone!

BTW my Metro came from the good folks at Bass Club as well.

Okay..so let's have the long story..I'd love to hear your take on the differences this bass made on your gigs!

Thanks

Yeah me too. There's always a honeymoon period and then you'll go back to that trusty Fender :D

Welcome to the world of greatness that is Sadowsky. There is a reason so many guys use them.

The only down side to your bass is that it's wet your appetite. Metro's are the gateway drug. Eventually, you'll want a NYC.

Start saving now, cause it don't take long to drop $5000. I've done it. Twice. Worth every penny.

endy_y_p 01-01-2013 05:17 PM

Why it's good.

It's not about Fender Custom Shop, It's not even Sadowsky, It's all about your wife bought them for you..:D, though your Sadowsky is very beautiful..., I've always wanted white Sadowsky, if I could ever afford one...hehe

Congratulation on your new bass!:hyper:

If only my Sadowsky would get me a wife for Christmas. :D

Congratulations again on the bass.

atomicdog 01-01-2013 05:47 PM

OK, congrats, but please articulate the wow factor. What makes it so great? How is it different from the Fender?
