I have been a bass player for 35 years and have owned many basses. In 1999, my wife bought me a Fender Custom Shop 64 relic for Christmas and up until now, I thought that bass was the best of the best (at least as far as I had ever owned). This Christmas, I received a Sadowsky Will Lee Metro 4 string, one similar to one we saw in Chicago at Bass Club Chicage (great guy's by the way) several months ago. Well, she remembered how cool I thought it was and she bought one.
Last night I played a New Years Eve party/ Wedding in Chapel Hill, NC and played this bass live for the first time. WOW, WOW, I cannot even begin to explain the differences between the two basses. Long story short, buy a Sadowsky!

The only down side to your bass is that it's wet your appetite. Metro's are the gateway drug. Eventually, you'll want a NYC.

It's not about Fender Custom Shop, It's not even Sadowsky, It's all about your wife bought them for you.. , though your Sadowsky is very beautiful..., I've always wanted white Sadowsky, if I could ever afford one...hehe
