New Squiers!

So, I've wanted a Telecaster bass for awhile. No, not a Telebass, they have them, but a Telecaster guitar in bass form. They're out:

Not sure if there is a thread or not already, so I made one.

Here's my advice for you.

1) Do a search first.
2) Learn to spell Squier correctly.

I am surprised by the first reply to this post, the OP tries to creat a bit of interest and instead of being gratefully recieved, gets castigated for incorrect spelling, I know good spelling is important but its not the end of the world
If I was the OP I would have felt a bit put down by this !
Regards the new `Squiers`, not my cup of tea but probably a nice bass .

I still have to marvel at Fenders marketing wizards. My hat's off to them for coming up with still another "gotta get one" product for their mid priced Squier line. Just because there isn't a need for it doesn't stop them from trying to overwhelm it with desire, LOL.

The more important point is that there are at least two threads on TB about these basses already and I don't understand why people start opening threads around the place without doing a search. TB has a trailer load of members with posts of at least 4 pages a day. Therefore, chances that someone has already posted something you would like to talk about are quite high.

As for the spelling, "Squier" is spellt incorrectly most of the time, even by people who own Squiers. I do not get this point either. No one would write "Fenda" or "Worwick", so I wonder what is so difficult about Squier.

Why would you be surprised? Misspelling "Squier" on TB, a bass forum, is unacceptable and invariably is corrected posthaste.

Actually it's "spelled" not "spellt".

Oops! But I have an excuse - I'm German.
