Thanks a lot for the link. I wouldn't have known there were two other threads because I don't usually search for them on tb, I read what looks interesting and click on it. Unlike certain others, I got past the fact that squier was misspelled and won't fault you for it.

Don't worry OP, if it was not for the same threads popping up everyday there would be NO TB! Some people have the need to race to be the first poster to say "Do a search"...don't know why they cant just pass by it, well I think I know why they cant but will not say it!! TB has mods and don't need another one.

It happens every time a new model (especially Fender) is introduced. I'm a noob so I didn't really notice it until the Reverse Jag came out. Multiple threads.

I understand. Excitement takes over because the poster is amped over the new model, thinks he is the first (besides the builders) to see it, and creates a thread without searching first. And there's lots o' police here. I used to be a grammar cop but gave that up.

People use phones and live in other countries where English isn't the primary language, so spelling and punctuation are second to the message.

Apostrophe abuse still bugs me.

probably it has some different caps or resistor so to give the player different tonal (preset) options immediately. But the reality is that they think in advance about the next step that would be adding a second (bridge) pickup.....

The Fender website says:

Quote:
Position 1: Special Tone Circuit- "Baritone" - (No Tone Control), Position 2: Modern Bass (Volume and Tone Control), Position 3: Special Tone Circuit - "Double Bass" - (No Tone Control).

2) Learn to spell Squier correctly.
I posted that at almost 12 AM, that was after watching a movie, so I was tired. If you look at my other posts, I spell it properly. Sorry about that though. And it gets me, too.

As for the spelling, "Squier" is spellt incorrectly most of the time, even by people who own Squiers. I do not get this point either. No one would write "Fenda" or "Worwick", so I wonder what is so difficult about Squier.
Yeah, nothing irks me more than the existence of multiple threads about the same or similar subjects on an internet forum.

Well, nothing other than intense pain in my back; the phone company raising rates but decreasing quality of service; venues wanting me to play for less, demanding we bring in a crowd, and then not advertising, and guaranteeing that if we do anything they don't like, we'll "never play there again,"; my wife calling up the stairs for me to come do something or other five hundred times a day; working hard at my job but always being behind on my finances; working my ass off to get my body back in shape, and still noticing a little pocket of fat somewhere or other; having to take my dog to the vet and the vet's assistant insisting on muzzling him, even though he's never bitten anyone, and never would, and then treating him roughly because he's panicking, due to never wearing a muzzle before; commercials for impotence reducing products; bad music; bad food; rude people; cars that burn oil or have too rich a fuel mixture, causing me to choke when I get behind them; idiot drivers; fat hamsters; people with acne commenting on my appearance; zoos that close the dolphin exhibit on the day I take my granddaughter, and dolphins are her favorite; movies that have uninspired scripts and bad acting; not knowing what that dead thing is...

It is pretty simple actually. The modern English spelling is in fact squire, not squier. The modern English spelling of fender is fender. Given the many, many spelling errors I see in posts here I would not be too sure that no one would say Worwick. It is just that the Squier police don't make an issue of Worwick -- or any of the other thousands of spelling errors posted here every day.

I'll take a dozen of the "Squire by Fenda" decals, please. I have a few basses I would like to convert....

Then you should probably stay away from ripping people for spelling errors.

It's not so much 'forward thinking'. It's more a 'let's stay in the air conditioned upper offices and par-tee' attitude.

Every company is in survival mode right now and scrabbling around trying to whet GAS appetites and fill niches is what's going on. And like any other company from Greece to Spain to England and The US, they don't care if you have to spend your kid's shoe and food money to cure your gear acquisition syndrome.

....and then there's capitalization. Where's the Capitalization Police when they are needed? Huh?
